ExhibitView's Bill Roach along with Texas resellers Sherri Wirth and Dr. Dave Giles take the winter TTLA conference, "Fight For Justice", by storm in Austin. ExhibitView was a silver sponsor and created quite a buzz at the event. "We added 16 new clients at this event alone, in only two days, it was fantastic. Our new 4.1 version really resonated with these attorney's in Texas", Quoting Bill Roach. The sell is simplicity and power. An easy to use trial presentation application that can be learned in 30 minutes is carving a nice niche in the legal community.
VERDICT WITH EXHIBITVIEW. Attorney Christopher P. Berney represented a plaintiff in a negligence/breach of contract case. We secured a $44K jury verdict in Lamar County in front of Judge Fears. Jim Fortune defended of Beck, Owen and Murray and had only offered $3,000.00 in two years of litigation. I was assisted in the three day trial for two days by Thomas Nicholson, he did a great job and so thanks to him as well. I used ExhibitView software to create the trial exhibits and displayed them on a portable screen using a laptop/projector system which worked great. The Judge ruled against a couple of my slides in the opening statement slideshow immediately before the start of trial and the software allowed me to make on the fly changes to comply with the Judge’s rulings in just a matter of minutes. I highly recommend it. The jurors made it clear that being able to view the evidence on a screen instead of waiting for something to be passed to them was very helpful.
VERDICT WITH EXHIBITVIEW. A Floyd County, Ga., Superior Court jury recently awarded Loretta Terhune $8.5 million in actual damages and $35 million in punitive damages as a result of the poor care her father received during the eight months he was a resident at Moran Lake Road Nursing Home in Rome, Ga. Co-lead counsel for the plaintiff was Mike Prieto of Perrotta, Cahn & Prieto, and Stephen Lowry of Harris Penn Lowry. The team walked the jury through compelling evidence of deplorable conditions, underpaid workers, understaffed and underfunded facilities as well as outright neglect and abuse of the elderly that incensed the jury. ExhibitView was the sole trial presentation software used by Susan Delmonico, Paralegal with Perotta, Cahn & Prieto.
